Are you tired of having to sharpen brand new broadheads, straight out of the packet?
Do you want to maximise penetration so you can get quicker, cleaner kills regardless of shot angles or bone impacts?
Do you want maximum durability to ensure you can reuse your broadheads time and time again?
What about a broadhead with nice straight edges so that it's easy to resharpen to a razors edge after use?
Would you like the confidence of knowing that your broadheads are as accurate and quiet as field points?
Well look no further. This is the Ironhide.
FEATURES:
- CNC Machined from 1 solid piece of A2 Tool Steel for the highest durability and precision possible.
- EVERY Broadhead is professionally sharpened by our team, and when we say they're sharp, we actually mean it. (Proof of sharpness card included).
- Single Bevel Design provides maximum cutting efficiency by creating a natural rotation while passing through an animal. This has been proven to split bone, increase penetration and maximise tissue damage for better killing performance.
- Shallow Approach Angle allows for superior penetration by decreasing the angle between the main blades and therefore reducing the amount of friction produced while passing through an animal.
- Sharp Tanto Style Point increases bone splitting performance and broadhead durability while also eliminating the possibility of deflection.
- Heat Treated to 52HRC to create the optimum combination of both Strength and Edge Retention.
- Easy to Resharpen after use. The Ironhides straight edges are MUCH easier to resharpen than broadheads with curves or bends. This also allows you to get the entire edge razor sharp.
- Advanced Surface Treatment provides an ultra durable coating for reduced surface friction and maximum corrosion resistance.

What is CNC Machining and why is it the SUPERIOR way to build broadheads?

CNC Machining produces high accuracy, high strength parts by using digitally programmed machines to rotate specialised tools around multiple axis and remove material from a solid block of steel until the final part is created.
This is the strongest way to produce a broadhead because by essentially carving the broadhead out of one solid piece of steel, the grain structure of the steel remains in its strongest state, resulting in a much tougher broadhead. It is also the most precise method. CNC Machines provide incredibly tight tolerances, which results in higher consistency and better accuracy downrange.
The more common and cheaper method to make broadheads is by casting (powder metallurgy). This essentially involves pouring powdered metal into a cast, then compressing and heating it to form a solid part. This is cheaper to do but because a powdered metal is used, its grain structure is much more porous and will never be as strong or accurate as a CNC Machined broadhead.
What is A2 Tool Steel?

A2 Tool Steel is an air hardened, cold work steel which provides high hardness after heat treatment and has good dimensional stability. It is known for having excellent toughness and good wear resistance and is used to make high quality dies, blades and tools.
A2's main advantage over the more commonly used stainless steels, is its durability. It can handle some serious abuse. This results in a broadhead that can withstand heavy bone impacts, and be used time and time again. There's a reason that tools are made out of tool steel, and not stainless steel.
A2 when compared to stainless is more susceptible to corrosion. However, A2 contains about 5% chromium which makes it much more corrosion resistant than other tool steels. The Ironhide also features an advanced surface treatment which protects it from corrosion. With these features and some basic care, we have found no issues with corrosion. We recommend just giving the edges a light oil after use.
